…you are the country facing directly at the sun most days of the year, generally speaking you could not only have your energy needs completely covered by renewable energy sources but also transformed into an energy hub. You could have done something similar by properly utilizing your culture, combining it with your number one product, tourism (upping its level as well), creating jobs and growth. Of course, you could respect the sea by adopting new ways of exploiting its wealth, showing that the diptych “sun and sea” is something much more important than a promotional catch phrase and a postcard, that in essence the “sun and the sea” are a “Source of economic life and creation” of a new development model that respects the environment and man. That “Sustainable Development” is directly linked to innovation and should be linked to start up companies and social entrepreneurship!
